The Allen Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic. Interested applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be eligible to participate in the Written & Physical Ability Exams that are scheduled for January 22nd and 23rd, 2010.

Completed application packets MUST be received in the Human Resources Department no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010 to ensure your application packet is complete. Incomplete application packets will not be accepted and will result in the applicant not being eligible to test.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:

*High School Diploma/GED
*Valid Texas Drivers License
*TCFP Structural Firefighter Certification
*TDSHS Paramedic Certification/License

Applicants must have or be able to obtain their Firefighter Certification and Paramedic Certification/License by March 1, 2010 to be eligible for consideration. Applicants who are currently enrolled in a Fire Academy or Paramedic School will need to provide a letter from their academy/school confirming enrollment and indicating the anticipated completion date.
